BANGOR TOWNSHIP BOARD OF EDUCATION

                                                                                   APRIL 26, 2004

 

The Bangor Township Board of Education held a special meeting on Monday, April 26, 2004, at Bangor Edison School.  Vice-President Thomas called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

 

Members Present:      George Thomas, Dawn Klida, John Loop, Barbara Skowronski, and Scott Sturm

 

Members Absent:        Richard Kowalski (personal business) and Terrence O’Hare (school business)

Student Expulsion: At 6:32 p.m. the parents of Rhonda Barber requested that the Board go into executive session to discuss disciplinary action.

 

At 6:48 p.m. a motion was made by John Loop, supported by Barbara Skowronski to reconvene into open session.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

At this time, a motion was made by John Loop, supported by Barbara Skowronski, to approve the expulsion of Rhonda Barber for the remainder of this school year through the first semester of the 2004/05 school year.  A roll call vote was taken.  Ayes: George Thomas, Dawn Klida, John Loop, Barbara Skowronski, Scott Sturm.  Nays: None.  Motion carried.

 

Student Expulsion: At 6:51p.m. the parents of Erica Michalski requested an executive session to discuss disciplinary action.

 

At 7:08 p.m. a motion was made by John Loop, supported by Dawn Klida, to reconvene into open session.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

At this time, a motion was made by John Loop, supported by Dawn Klida, to approve the expulsion of Erica Michalski for the remainder of this school year through the end of the first semester of the 2004/05 school year.  A roll call vote was taken.  Ayes:  George Thomas, Dawn Klida, John Loop, Barbara Skowronski, Scott Sturm.  Nays: None.  Motion carried.
