The
Michigan Works!
system is a collaboration of service providers devoted to serving
the employment and training needs of our communities. We provide
services to employers and job seekers by accessing state and federal
employment and training programs. We serve employers, students,
persons with disabilities, veterans, welfare recipients, unemployed,
underemployed and employed individuals.
Some services are available to everyone while other services have
eligibility criteria that must be met in order to receive services.
There are no user fees for any of our services.

Programs and Services

Job skills-related to
employment-class
A unique one-on-one experience for the participant who has completed job search, but is still under-employed. This program provides additional assistance to obtain your career goals. -
Job search class
This class provides excellence in job search and training. You will learn to create resumes and cover letters. You will learn telephone and interview skills to gain confidence in your abilities. Participants also attend Life Skills seminars. -
GED instruction
On-site instruction is provided for participants who have not completed high school.
