Congrats to our 19 freshmen who competed in the National History State Finals today at Bay City Central The results were as follows:
-Adam Reno and Thomas Auger-National Alternates for Group Documentary (3rd place overall)
-Autumn McKeoun and Kyleigh Morley -National Alternates for Group Performance (3rd place overall)
-Anna Reinhardt-National Alternate for Individual Exhibit (3rd place overall) and Special Award for Best Use of Family History
-Mrs. Veitengruber was awarded the 2019 MacGregor Teacher of the Year Award, Senior Division for Michigan, and a finalist for the National Award, presented by the Michigan Historical Society.

There should be a final decision on additional snow day forgiveness in Lansing over the next couple of weeks. As soon as we know something definite we will have a final decision on our last day of school. As of now, please pencil in Friday, June 14th as our final day. Graduation will still take place on Friday, June 7th. Stay tuned....

Interested in becoming an Eagle Scout? All girls in grades 6 through 8th - in case you haven't heard the Boy Scouts has opened their program to girls. Troop 158 meets on Sunday nights from 6 till 7:30 at St Jude Thaddeus. You do not have to attend every meeting. If you like being outdoors, learning new skills, honing and leadership skills then contact Mrs. Dutkiewicz in Room 14 at CMMS for details.

CMMS has just wrapped up their Shoe Drive fundraiser. A total of 1,950 pairs of shoes were collected and are now on their way to impoverished or underdeveloped countries such as Ghana, Chile, Haiti and Peru. CMMS would like to thank Hopevale Church and New Life Missionary Church for their help in collecting shoes. We appreciate their willingness to help. For their efforts, CMMS will be receiving about $800 from funds2orgs for their hard work. Way to go Bobcats!

A HUGE congrats to our cheerleaders for their performances at cheer camp. This week at camp they got top banana (most spirited at camp), and they received superior/ gold ribbon for their rally routine. Ellie Reinhardt and Aralyn Hantla received pins for showing compassion/ leadership within the team, Taylor Kekel and Ellie Norton earned All- American cheerleader (which allows them to cheer in London’s New Years Parade or our team can perform at the Citrus Bowl in Florida). On the last day of camp John Glenn was given a plaque and a Gatorade Cooler for showing Great leadership on and off the field! They truly bonded as a team and left with a lot of confidence! Way to go ladies! #bobcatnation
