CO-OP

Cooperative Occupational Training (Co-op) is an opportunity for seniors, who would like to gain work-site based experience in their chosen career path. The program involves the schools, students, parents/ guardians, and the business community. The Cooperative Training Program is an enrollment program, which enables students to receive career training / exploration and supervised work experience under paid/unpaid employment conditions, while also continuing their academic studies.

The students' job duties are outlined in advance and their employer along with the school Co-op Coordinator supervise performance and monitor progress on the job. Co-op students usually work 10-20 hours per week, with a minimum requirement of 10 hours per week. This program is directed toward preparing students to work in their chosen career after graduation.

We have placed students in various career areas such as: Automotive, Pharmacy, Dental, Veterinary, Nursing, Plumbing, Music, Law, Day care, Physical Therapy, Fire Fighting, Medical, Teaching, Optometry, Business and many more.
