Timeline

  • Application: As early as possible before the desired semester.

  • Guided Self-Placement Survey: Immediately after application acceptance.

  • Account Activation: Follow instructions received via email after acceptance.

  • Authorization Form Submission: Before course registration for each school year or semester.

  • Course Planning and Registration: Can register for an entire academic year at once. For example, in March, registration is open for Fall, Winter, and Spring semesters.

  • Textbook Acquisition: Approximately three weeks before the start of each term.

Dual Enrollment Overview

1. Initial Consultation with Your School Counselor

  • Why? To discuss your eligibility and explore dual enrollment opportunities.

  • Action: Meet with your high school counselor.

2. Application to Delta College

  • How? Visit delta.edu/apply, create an account using a personal email, and submit your application.

  • Special Note: Choose "I will be attending Delta College while still in High School" to ensure correct billing and communication.

3. Course Placement

4. Delta Student Account Activation

  • Timeline: You'll receive setup instructions via email approximately four hours after your acceptance.

  • Purpose: Access to Delta email, student services, online learning, and more.

5. Dual Enrollment Authorization Form Submission

  • Requirement: One form per school year or each semester, signed by you, a parent/guardian, and the college and career advisor..

  • Submit to: dualenrollment@delta.edu.

6. Planning and Registering for Classes

  • Action: Use the Student Planning tool in Student Self-Service to plan and register for classes approved by the college and career advisor.

  • Final Step: Click "Register Now" to finalize your course registration.

  • Tip: Students have the opportunity to enroll in up to 10 college courses while still in high school. For those looking to expand their learning journey even further, additional course enrollments beyond this limit may be possible with Superintendent approval.

7. Acquiring Textbooks

  • Where to Buy: Purchase through the Delta College Bookstore in person or online.

8. Campus Exploration

  • Opportunity: Schedule a campus tour to familiarize yourself with resources and facilities.
