October Student of the Month: Senior Leah Torrey

My Name is Leah Torrey, or Lee for short. I’m a Senior this year at BTVS. I think I earned student of the month because I worked hard on finishing my classes. I’ve never been student of the month before, I never tried to be really, and I didn’t think I was going to get it this year either so it’s quite the surprise. Though, both, my sister and my mother are proud of me, I think this is just fuel to them to tease me more - since I was never the one to work hard for most things. I would never consider myself a unique person. Not because of modesty, but because I don’t feel like that’s the correct word for this. To be unique is to be the only one of your kind, granted no two minds think alike, but I know I’m not the only one out there who acts like me (or vise versa.) I’ve come to love any enjoy most, if not all, of my years spent here at BTVS. I really enjoy the fact that I can take classes I was not able to take at John Glenn, like criminology and sign language for instance. If someone like me can get student of the month, then I’m pretty sure anyone can get it.
