kindergarten enrollment

Welcome to the Bangor Township Schools Kindergarten and Young Fives Enrollment Page! We are excited to begin the journey of lifelong learning with our youngest students and their families. Starting March 1, 2024, we will open online registration for the incoming Kindergarten and Young Fives students for the academic year 2024-2025. If your child is turning five by September 1, 2024, they are eligible to join our vibrant learning community. For children turning five between September 1 and December 1, 2024, an age waiver is available until June 1, 2024, to ensure they can also participate in this important educational milestone. Join us as we continue on this exciting educational adventure together. Our dedicated team is here to support you through every step of the enrollment process.

Our Programs

Young fives

Young Fives

Young Fives, designed for children turning five later, offers an extra year to build foundational skills. This program emphasizes social, emotional, and academic readiness in a supportive environment, fostering confidence for a successful educational journey.

We offer two young fives classrooms - one at Bangor Central and one at Bangor Lincoln.

Kindergarten emphasizes foundational academics, social development, and prepares children for elementary school. The dynamic learning environment fosters curiosity, and tailored curriculum meets the specific developmental needs of young learners for a positive educational experience.

Screening for Placement

All new students, except current Bangor North or Young Fives students, undergo a 10-15 minute screening focusing on kindergarten skills such as numbers, letters, shapes, colors, and name writing. Screening occurs from May onward, and parents will be contacted to schedule their child's appointment.
