During the month of March, the boys and girls worked very hard to become better readers, and now we want to celebrate these efforts! On Thursday, March 28th, the Bangor West staff will be taking their students on a bowling adventure to Monitor Lanes. Kindergarten, second, and fourth grade will be bowling in the morning. First, third, and fifth grade will be bowling in the afternoon. Thanks to our past fundraising efforts, families do not need to provide any further monetary support. The boys and girls READ like all-stars! Now it’s time to have a little fun and BOWL like all-stars!
Beach Day is right around the corner! Friday, March 22nd will be our last Fun-Raiser Friday! For a $1 donation, students may wear beach apparel and bring along a beach towel for a totally awesome reading session.
Bangor West is full of talent! Come watch our talent show tonight at John Glenn high school tonight from 6:00 to 7:00. It's free for the public and is awesome entertainment!
Do you know a girl who is curious about technology? Camp Infinity is a one-week summer technology camp for girls entering grades 5th-8th in Fall 2019. Camp Infinity introduces girls to computer and internet technologies through hands-on activities. Campers are split into two groups according to the Fall 2019 grade level: 5th-6th grade and 7th-8th grade. Campers in grades 5th-6th will create their own web page using HTML and program Dash robots. Campers in grades 7th-8th will create their own web page using HTML and program EV3 or Vex robots. In addition, students will participate in mini- sessions that highlight programming skills and real-world uses of technology. Campers will also get an opportunity to meet with women who work in technological fields and explore career options in technology. For more information, please visit the camp registration page.
