Volunteer with the Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum This Holiday Season!

Looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? The Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum (MMCM) is hosting two exciting events this December, and they need your help to make them a success! Volunteers are essential to the success of these events and provide valuable support to children and families in our community.

Holiday Hooray

• Friday, December 6, 2024

  • Shift: 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM

  • Tasks:

    • Sanitizing and moving tables and chairs

    • Organizing gallery spaces

    • Setting up craft and game stations

• Saturday, December 7, 2024

  • Shifts:

    • 9:45 AM – 1:30 PM

    • 1:15 PM – 5:15 PM

    • 9:45 AM – 5:15 PM

  • Tasks:

    • Face painting

    • Assisting with crafts (TP tube snowmen, Diwali candles)

    • Helping with games (Penguin Bowling, Snowball Toss)

    • Cleaning and maintaining gallery spaces

New Year’s Eve Countdown Blast

• Monday, December 30, 2024

  • Shift: 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM

  • Tasks:

    • Moving tables and chairs

    • Organizing gallery spaces

    • Setting up craft and game stations

• Tuesday, December 31, 2024

  • Shifts:

    • 9:45 AM – 12:30 PM

    • 12:15 PM – 4:15 PM

    • 9:45 AM – 4:15 PM

  • Tasks:

    • Face painting

    • Wearing MMCM’s mascot costumes

    • Assisting with crafts (wishing wands, party hats)

    • Helping with games (Snowball Toss, Penguin Bowling)

    • Cleaning and maintaining gallery spaces

Volunteer Requirements

• Age: 14 years or older (or in 9th grade)

• New Volunteers: Must complete a volunteer application and background check

• Group Volunteers: Apply here

• Returning Volunteers: Email your name and preferred shift time to
