Hello BTVS Elementary Families,
As you know, Mrs. Mika will be leaving us officially after this week to embark on her new journey to serve our three elementary buildings. Sadly, our BTVS family will have to say goodbye to one of the most amazing educators that we have worked with, but we will cherish the memories that we have built over the last 7 months. Mrs. Mika always made work more fun, we learned so much from her elementary experience, and her students absolutely love her!
Thank you for everything, and continue to be the rock star that you are in your new position!
Please reach out to say farewell this week as she begins her transition.
Have a great week, and Go Bobcats!

Hello BTVS 8th Grade Families,
According to the Michigan Department of Education, state and local assessments are a requirement of all students. This includes the MSTEP8 and PSAT8 assessments for 8th grade students. They are also requiring that all assessments be administered in-person. All schools are to continue with their plans to prepare to test students as safely as possible in their local school buildings. While there is additional assessment flexibility during the COVID-19 pandemic, there is not an option for “remote” or “at home” testing for the M-STEP8 and PSAT8. In the context of state accountability assessments, remote testing would create significant issues with validity, equity, comparability, and security.
Therefore, this survey is to determine which students will be participating in the MSTEP8 and PSAT8 assessments for 8th grade students. Please complete the survey for each student that you have in 8th grade by March 16th.
