Hello BTVS 8th Grade Families, STUDENTS DO NOT NEED TO TEST!!!  State testing begins next week.  We had 17 students confirm that they were participating in the testing.  Your testing location will be in the Edison Administration Building located at 3351 East Midland Road.  Below is specific testing information: MSTEP8 Monday the 26th of April from 8AM-11:30AM Please bring your charged Chromebook, paper, and pencil There are two parts (science and social studies) Estimated time is about 2 hours Students who do not finish will come to the makeup session (TBD) PSAT8 Tuesday the 27th of April from 12:30PM-4PM Please bring a few sharpened #2 pencils and a calculator There are four parts (language and math) Time is about 3 hours We cannot begin until after the 11th graders finish and we clean the testing room Have a great day, and we look forward to seeing all of you next week!

Hello BTVS families, Unfortunately, I have to cancel all Friday Funday Activities for today the 9th of April. That includes the 10AM elementary session, and the 1PM middle and high school session. We will have a Friday Fun Day next Friday the 16th of April. My sincerest apologies for the late notice. Have a great weekend!

Hello BTVS Family, The message is a follow-up to the email sent out by Superintendent Schmidt regarding specific items for BTVS. The district is closing to any in-person learning for the next two weeks, which includes our drop-in center, partnership programs, and state testing. Drop-in Center We are closed to students from April 12th to April 23rd. Partnership Programs Cosens MMA = This partnership ends immediately. We will not continue after the two week closure. Studio 23 = Students can finish online, but cannot report face to face. Grand K = This partnership is postponed for two weeks, and plans to continue after the two week closure. State Testing All Tests that were scheduled between April 12th and April 23rd are postponed. A new schedule is in the works, and will come out in a separate email after the schedule is complete. All tests, including MSTEP for all grades, SAT, PSAT8, PSAT9, PSAT10, and ACT will be moved. Hello BTVS Families, The BTVS Spirit Week is going to be April 19th through the 23rd. Here is the list of daily events that students can participate. Students can pick days and activities that they want to participate. Participate in all days, and participate in all activities if you want! Just have fun! For every activity that you participate, we will enter your name in a drawing to win a Bobcat cup donated by the JGHS athletic department and 5 star nails, a paw print draw string back pack donated by Mrs. Mika, or other prizes that are to be announced! We are proud to announce one of our March is Reading Month Book Mark Decorating Contest winners: fifth grader Lilah Wardynski. Lilah made her book mark with oil pastels, water colors and sharpie pens on water color paper. Amazing work Lilah!!!

Aubree said, "I painted paper, cut out my bookmark with fancy scissors from my favorite spot of my painting. I used punchers to make shapes in my bookmark and then added ribbon. I made this with my grandma." Great Job Aubree!!!
