Hello BTVS 11th Grade Families,
According to the Michigan Department of Education, state and local assessments are a requirement of all students. This includes the MSTEP11, SAT and ACT assessments for 11th grade students. They are also requiring that all assessments be administered in-person. All schools are to continue with their plans to prepare to test students as safely as possible in their local school buildings. While there is additional assessment flexibility during the COVID-19 pandemic, there is not an option for βremoteβ or βat homeβ testing for the MSTEP11, SAT and ACT. In the context of state accountability assessments, remote testing would create significant issues with validity, equity, comparability, and security.
Therefore, this survey is to determine which students will be participating in the MSTEP11, SAT and ACT assessments for 11th grade students. Please complete the survey for each student that you have in 11th grade by March 16th.

Count Day is next week on Wednesday the 10th of February.
What is Count Day?
Count Day is when all public schools in the state of Michigan tally the number of students attending their schools. Count information is critical to districts, because each student translates into state funding. Count Days and school funding in Michigan are mandated through the State School Aid Act.
