Today we will run a Monday/Friday (NO FLEX) Schedule. Tomorrow we will run a ½ day schedule. School will be dismissed tomorrow at 10:30 for summer break.
Loaner chromebooks will NOT be available for check to students out this week. If you have a loaner chromebook checked out currently, it MUST be returned to the library today.
Attention any Students interested in running cross country in the fall - please join the team REMIND group: @jghsxc to stay up to date on plans for the fall. Summer conditioning will begin after 4th of July and official practices will begin in August. Please ensure that you have a valid sports physical and a Final Forms account through JGHS athletics. There are cross country teams for both John Glenn and CMMS depending on your grade level. Please reach out to Coach Lind if you have any questions.
Summer Open Tennis - Head Varsity Boys and Girls Tennis Coach Mr. Miller will be holding Open Tennis over the summer break. It will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6:30. It will be on a drop in basis, no appointment needed. It will start June 10th and end July 8th. Stop by Mr. Miller’s room for a flyer.

After the ceremony, you will receive your yearbook and have a yearbook signing in the gym. Then, after lunch you will go to 5th hour for attendance then outside for: kickball, tennis, football, sidewalk chalk, or just hanging out--you get to choose. Mr Kasemeyer's room will be open for Chromebook games and Ms Johnson's will be open for bracelet making.
We have lots of drinks and snacks for the afternoon (you cannot bring drinks or snacks in the football stadium). We are so excited to give you a fun afternoon to celebrate the end of your middle school years!

The CMMS Chief Science Officers, Maddie, Hattie, Emerson, and Nat, put on an amazing STEM Night last night. There were awesome activities and games for families; everyone had an amazing time. Thank you to everyone who came and made this an awesome experience.
Four STEM-themed gift baskets were given away last night. Congrats to our winners. If you were not present to win, please come down to the office at the end of the day to get your prizes.

The Chromebook will be checked out to the teacher, not the student, and the teacher can keep that chromebook in their classroom to be used for testing throughout the rest of the day if needed. This means students MUST bring their own, fully charged, district issued chromebook to school every day. Please take note of these 2 very important announcements from our technology department: #1) Any chromebook screens that are broken moving forward will not be able to be fixed. #2) If you have an unpaid bill for a broken chromebook you will not be allowed to borrow a loaner chromebook until the bill has been paid. As a reminder today is a ½ day of school for students. Students will be dismissed at 10:30. Tomorrow, Wednesday we will run a TUESDAY schedule, Thursday will be a WEDNESDAY schedule and Friday will be a THURSDAY schedule.

If you signed up to be a READER at the honor assemblies this week (meaning you are reading names or doing the welcome or closing), please stop by the office today to pick up your script and list of names to practice.

CMMS Pompon Tryouts for the 2025-26 season will be held today Monday, April 28 from 4:30-7:00 and tomorrow, Tuesday, April 29 from 5:00-7:00 for Routine Instruction; Judged Tryouts will be held Thursday, May 1 at 5:00 PM. Before tryouts make sure you submit your registration form (registration form can be found on the JGHS Athletics Facebook Page) and have your sports physical uploaded to FinalForms.
