Please be advised that spoons and forks may NOT be taken from the cafeteria for any reason. They are to be used during lunch for eating only. Students taking spoons or forks from the cafeteria will result in a formal write up.
In addition, students, you MAY NOT put pencils in your locker locks as this is causing damage to the lock. Students whose lockers are found with pencil holding the lock open will receive a formal write up. Lockers will be checked and any pencils found will be removed and a write up will be completed. Students, your locker combinations are in Skyward, please make sure you know your combination.
Finally, you may NOT take knobs off of the sinks in the bathroom; if you know of anyone who has done this, please report it to Mr. Albrecht. This is destruction of school property and will result in a formal write up and may result in a suspension as well.

Students, the cold weather has arrived! β¦.If you plan to go outside at lunch you must bring your coat with you to lunch as you will not be allowed to go back to your locker to get your coat; and you also not be allowed to go outside without a coat. Please come to lunch prepared with your coat if you plan to go outside.

Do you love games? Come join our after school board games club on Mondays and Thursdays until 3:30! We will begin today, Monday, November 10. Please make sure you have picked up a permission slip form Ms. Chambers and have your ride home arranged beforehand. You can bring your favorite games or play ours.
Students, beginning TODAY!, Monday November 10th, we will be eliminating the 1-minute warning bell. You will no longer hear the one-minute warning bell for all classes beginning that day.
There will be a free wrestling clinic today, Monday, November 10th at JGHS from 5:30-6:00. This is open to boys and girls, ages 4 to 14. Come meet our staff and wrestlers and learn about the Bobcat Wrestling Club Program!

If you are in need of speaking with Mrs. VanDorn, Mrs. Goullette, Mr. Jacobs, Mr. Horton or Mrs. Schlicht - please sign up on the Kiosk in the front hallway, by Mr. Baileyβs room, room #6 - you can sign up to see them about academics, scheduling, lockers, peer conflicts, personal concerns, etc. It is very easy to sign up, all you need is your student ID number (the same number you use at lunch and on your chromebooks) to sign up.
Students please be aware that if you have something dropped off at the office (for example, shoes, backpack, lunchbox) it will be placed inside of your locker with your name on the item. It will have a bright orange ticket placed on the item so you know it is yours. Also, if you have a locker partner, please be courteous and make sure that the delivered item is visible for your locker partner so they receive their items.

This is important information for the girls going with us to Delta College on Friday for the Girlsβ Day Out field trip. Check the lists outside of Mrs. Goodβs room to check your group assignment. We are all riding one bus. Bring your $3.00 to Mrs. Good if you havenβt paid for the trip yet. On Friday, you will meet IN THE COMMONS at 7:30. You will NOT go to your first hour on Friday. Go straight to the commons when the bell rings at 7:30. Delta College is now providing lunch for us, so you do NOT need to bring lunch with you. This is going to be an awesome trip, and we are looking forward to exploring STEM activities with you.

CMMS Competitive Cheer Tryouts are happening soon!! Come be a part of our team, build new skills, compete together - beginners and experienced players are welcome!! Tryouts will be held on November 12 & 13 from 5:30 - 7:30 at the John Glenn Highschool Gym.
Open gym times for basketball players will be held every Thursday from 7:00 - 8:30pm.

Our Marking Period 1 Honor Roll Assemblies will be - 6th grade assembly will be held Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 8:40 AM, 7th grade - Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 8:40 and 8th grade -Thursday, Nov. 20 at 8:40 AM. If you have a 3.0 - 3.49 GPA on your report card you will receive an honor roll certificate; if you have a 3.5-4.0 GPA you will receive a HIGH honor roll certificate.
