What a beautiful day for our parade! Thank you all for supporting our students and making their day special!

Congratulations to our pumpkin winners!!! And a huge thank you to Kathy Kosecki, Betty Reinhart, and Carol Spadafore for donating the decorated pumpkins.

Veterans Day information is attached. We look forward to thanking all of those who sacrificed so much for us!

Thank you everyone for coming out to enjoy our STEM and Title I night last night. We hope you enjoyed the events and learned a lot. I loved seeing everyone wear all of the John Glenn Robotics Team shirts today that were so graciously donated. The 3D printer items that were donated were awesome as well. Thank you John Glenn Robotics Team and SVSU for making our night a success!

Don't forget: Next Tuesday, October 23rd, is our STEM/Title I night from 5:30-7:00 at Bangor West. We will have STEM activities presented by SVSU that students can enjoy along with our awesome John Glenn Robotics team showing off their work. Come join us for our free event and have some fun!

Cosen's MMA after school Karate and Character Building program starts on October 25th from 3:25-3:55. Parents will need to pick their child up from West's gym at 3:55. The program cost $39 and is a 4 week program. The money is then donated by Cosen's back to our school to help our building. Thank you Cosen's and please call the office if interested. Limited spaces are available. Flyers are attached!

A special thanks for everyone who was able to help out and join us for our Homecoming Parade!

Friday, October 12th is the big day--Lucky Tray Day! Twelve lucky Bangor West students will go home with one of these cool pumpkins! In order to be in the running, boys and girls must order a lunch from our school cafeteria. Good luck, everyone!

Congratulations to Candace Krzyminski and Aiden Stanger! They are our "Just for Kids" winners for the month of October. Both have proven to be excellent role models to their peers.

Awesome time at Bridge the Gap this weekend at SVSU. Thanks for those who came out to join us for a good cause!

Check out our Paws on the Path pictures! Great day with our local community members. Thanks so much for everyone helping us out! If you didn't turn in your pledge money, we will still accept it next week. Also, don't forget about spirit week next week as well. Information about spirit week came home in our recent newsletter and is also posted on our facebook page!

Have you placed your Bangor West Spirit Wear order yet? Visit the online store at https://bangorwest2018.itemorder.com. Deadline is Sunday, October 7th.

Just a few reminders, if you have signed up for Watch Dogs, the meeting is tomorrow at 6. We also will have our annual Paws on the Path activities/fundraiser this Friday afternoon for our students, and we have some families that will participate with myself, Police Officers, and other community members in the Bridge the Gap basketball event this Saturday at SVSU. It's only $5 for food, prizes, and entertainment. Please contact us if you have any questions!

Our first Parents in Action meeting is this Tuesday from 5:00-6:00. We hope everyone can make it. Without you, we wouldn't be able to support our students by putting on all of the fun activities each year! Our fundraiser money this year will be used to replace the old wooden structure and hopefully much more. We will see you Tuesday at 5:00 in Bangor West's library.

Reminder: This Monday, the 10th, is our picture day. Bring your best smile!
Also, our first Parents in Action meeting is this Tuesday, the 12th, from 5:00-6:00 in our library. Everyone is welcome!

Hooray for Popcorn Day at Bangor West! Don't forget your quarters!

Wow! What a turn-out at Bangor West! Thank you to all of our students and their families who attended Open House this evening. School starts tomorrow--bright and early at 8:15am.

Bangor West is ready for the week ahead! Monday is Open House and school starts on Tuesday! The weather may say summer, but our staff is excited to kick off another great school year at the best school in town.

Thank you West families and students for helping feed the city of Saginaw through the Bridge the Gap program.
