As we begin a new school year, we want to notify our community of our updated photography procedures for external photographers covering district games, practices and events.

External photographers who wish to photograph from designated media areas - such as sidelines, courtside or stage areas - must complete the District Photography Approval Form and receive a district media pass. The pass must be worn at all times while photographing. Approved photographers can show their approval confirmation email and pick up their media pass at the ticket booth/check-in area.

As a reminder, this does not apply to families taking photos from bleachers, chairs or audience areas.

This process helps us prioritize student safety, privacy and a positive experience for everyone at our events. We thank you in advance for helping share this information with community partners!

Now Hiring: Game Manager

We are currently seeking a Game Manager to help coordinate and oversee athletic contests at John Glenn High School and Christa McAuliffe Middle School.

This position supports boys' and girls' athletics across a variety of sports, including football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, swimming, track, baseball, softball and lacrosse. Responsibilities include preparing facilities, coordinating with officials and visiting teams, supporting game operations, assisting with crowd control and ensuring a safe, well-organized experience for athletes and spectators.

Pay: $50 per day
Position Available: September 2, 2026
Application Deadline: 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2026

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with varying after-school and weekend schedules.

Bobcats Battle Past Alma Panthers, 6-2 The John Glenn Bobcats boys tennis team battled their way to a hard-fought 6-2 dual-match victory over the Alma Panthers tonight. The Bobcats dominated the singles courts, sweeping all four singles matches, while splitting the four doubles matches. The match of the day came at No. 4 singles, where Brady Petrimoulx battled through a thrilling first-set tiebreaker before finishing strong to earn a two-set victory. Winning for the Bobcats were: Singles * Thomas Dwan * Patrick Dwan * Brady Petrimoulx * Jack Pfeiffer Doubles * Brandon Woods & Corbin Sanborn * Gage Bauer & Landon Debo Senior co-captain Patrick Dwan summed up the team’s mindset after the match: “These boys know what they are capable of. They don’t need to play perfect tennis; we just need to have each other’s backs.” That team-first attitude was on full display tonight as the Bobcats fought for every point and supported one another from the first serve to the final match. Great job, Bobcats! Go Bobcats! 🐾🎾

Bobcats Battle the Wolves and Come Away With an 8-0 Sweep While most high school students were out back-to-school shopping today, the John Glenn Bobcats boys tennis team had a different plan: they were on the courts, battling the Wolves of Bay City Central. After more than two hours of intense competition, the Bobcats walked away with an impressive 8-0 sweep over Central. The victory was a great example of the hard work the Bobcats have been putting in during practice. Coach Sanborn was extremely proud of the way the team took what they had been working on and carried it directly into match play. The highlight of the afternoon came at #3 doubles, where the newly formed team of Aiden Hellybuyck and Brayden Grzegorczyk showed tremendous determination. After dropping the first set, the Bobcats battled back and ultimately won the match in a thrilling tiebreaker. That comeback was a perfect example of the fight and resilience that this Bobcats team is developing early in the season. "Bobcat Boys Take Tennis Trophies" JOPKE PARK — With the start of the high school tennis season just one day away, five John Glenn Bobcats decided there was no better way to prepare than by stepping onto the courts and competing. The result? Trophies, tough competition and plenty of Bobcat Pride. The John Glenn boys were among the players competing in the annual Bay County “Alex Burke” Memorial Tennis Tournament at Jopke Park, where the doubles competition took center stage Sunday. Gage Bauer, Logan Debo, Jack Pfeiffer, Patrick Dwan, Tom Dwan, and John Glenn tennis alumnus Jack Dwan all represented the Bobcats and battled throughout the day. When the final points were played, the Bobcats had plenty to celebrate. In the high school doubles division, Jack Pfeiffer and Patrick Dwan put on a dominant performance, racing through the competition and capturing first place. The victory provided an impressive final tune-up for the Bobcats just hours before the opening day of the high school season. But the Bobcat success didn’t stop there. In the adult doubles division, John Glenn standout Tom Dwan teamed up with his brother and former Bobcat, Jack Dwan. The brothers played exceptional tennis throughout the tournament, fighting their way into the championship match. Although Tom and Jack ultimately had to settle for second place, finishing as the second-best doubles team in Bay County is certainly nothing to hang their heads about. For Tom, it was also a pretty good way to enter the high school season. Second place in the county? That’s some pretty good bragging rights heading into Day One. For the Bobcats, however, Sunday’s tournament was about much more than trophies. It was about competing, getting valuable court time and representing John Glenn with pride. “I was so proud of these boys today. They held nothing back, and I am so excited to get this season started,” said Coach Miller. The Bobcats now turn their attention to the regular season. The trophies have been earned. The work has been put in. Now it’s time to get the season started. Bobcat Pride is officially back on the courts.

"FIVE HOURS. ONE CHAMPION" Thomas Dwan Defends Adult Division Crown at Alex Burke Memorial JOPKE PARK — The sun was beating down. The matches kept coming. Legs were getting tired, but the John Glenn Bobcats refused to back down. It was a long day of tennis at the annual Bay County “Alex Burke” Memorial Tennis Tournament, and four Bobcats — Jack Pfeiffer, Patrick Dwan, Brady Petrimoulx, and Thomas Dwan — stepped onto the courts ready for the challenge. More than 20 players from area high schools and the adult division competed throughout the day, creating a competitive field where every point had to be earned. And for the Bobcats, there was no shortage of determination. Three hours. That was the length of some of the battles these players endured on the courts. Point after point, game after game, the Bobcats continued to fight. They showed up. They battled. They never quit. And when the dust finally began to settle, one Bobcat was still standing. Thomas Dwan. For the second consecutive year, Tom made the decision to enter the adult division, choosing a more difficult path against experienced adult competition. But Tom wasn’t intimidated. He had been here before. Last year, he conquered the adult division and walked away as the champion. This year, he was determined to do it again. The journey would take nearly five hours on the court. Five hours of serving. Five hours of returning. Five hours of fighting through fatigue and refusing to give an opponent an inch. And eventually, Tom earned his way into the championship match. One final opponent stood between him and another championship. That’s when the Bobcat mentality took over. Never give up. From the opening point, Tom controlled the match. He played with confidence, determination, and the composure of a player who had already spent hours battling his way to the final. When the final point was won, there was no doubt. Thomas Dwan — champion. Final: Dwan 8, Opponent 0. A second consecutive adult division championship. And another unforgettable chapter in the story of John Glenn tennis. While Tom may have been the last Bobcat standing, today’s performance was about much more than one championship. Jack Pfeiffer. Patrick Dwan. Brady Petrimoulx. Thomas Dwan. Four Bobcats. One team. And an entire day of Bobcat Pride. Every one of them fought valiantly. Every one of them battled through long matches. Every one of them represented John Glenn with the effort and determination that makes being a Bobcat special. And Tom, Patrick, and Jack are not finished yet. Tomorrow morning, they return to Jopke Park for the doubles competition, where Tom will team up with a familiar face — his brother, former John Glenn tennis standout Jack Dwan. The next chapter begins at 9:00 a.m. So come out. Bring your Bobcat Pride. Bring your voices. And cheer on the Bobcat Boys as they take the court together. One more day. One more battle.
