Glenn headed up for the annual Falcon 2-Day tournament at The Nightmare and The Dream. The names of the courses should be reversed based on the weather we had to play in. The guys did a good job representing us with a 10th-place finish out of 24 teams. Mason Hayes led the way with rounds of 81-79, followed by Logan Bitzer with 89-84. Brayden Lang was able to play for us on Friday and fired a nice 88!

"Lady Bobcats Show Grit
in Marathon Match Against Garber"
The home courts were buzzing this evening as the John Glenn JV Girls Tennis team, better known as the Lady Bobcats, locked into a grueling two-hour battle against the visiting Garber High School Dukes. In a night defined by endurance and high-stakes volleys, the Lady Bobcats proved they have the stamina to match their skill.
While the competition was fierce across every court, John Glennβs doubles teams stole the spotlight, securing a series of hard-earned victories.
Doubles Dominance
The Lady Bobcats found their rhythm at the net and the baseline, with three key pairings walking away with wins:
Savanah Grauherr & Emma Barber
Evie Jacobson & Maci Betzold
Kinzie Rezmer & Giselle Coon
Match of the Day: The Marathon Duo
The standout performance of the evening belonged to Kinzie Rezmer and Giselle Coon, who turned in a legendary "double-shift" performance.
After outlasting their first Garber opponents in a nail-biting tiebreaker win, the duo barely had time to catch their breath before stepping back onto the court for a second match. Showing incredible mental toughness, Rezmer and Coon faced off against a fresh Dukes pairing and forced yet another tiebreaker. In a display of pure clutch play, they secured their second tiebreaker victory of the night.
Coach Miller was quoted "To win one tiebreaker is tough, to go back out and win a second one immediately after shows incredible heart."
It was a stellar evening for John Glenn JV. With this kind of resilience on display, the future looks bright for the Lady Bobcats. Great job, ladies!

Bobcats Claw Past Panthers,
Stay Perfect on the Season
The John Glenn Lady Bobcats continued their dominant run tonight, fending off a gritty Alma Panthers squad to secure a **5-3 victory**. With the win, the Bobcats keep their unblemished dual-match record intact as they head into the heart of their conference schedule.
Singles Standouts:
While the dual was a battle of attrition across all eight flights, the Bobcats found crucial stability at the top of the lineup. **Katie Gallagher** and **Emma Dabrowski** delivered clinical performances in their singles matches, showcasing the depth and discipline that have become the hallmarks of this yearβs squad. Both Gallagher and Dabrowski controlled the tempo from the baseline, refusing to let the Panthers gain any momentum in the singles rotation.
---
Interesting
Dominance in Doubles:
The real story of the night, however, was the "Blue Wall" established by the John Glenn doubles teams. The Bobcats captured three of the four doubles flights, all in commanding **straight-set victories**:
| **#1 Doubles** Adele Neophytou & Gabbie Bishop | Won (Straight Sets)
| **#3 Doubles** | Evelyn Gruber & Chelsie Voss | Won (Straight Sets)
| **#4 Doubles** | Ava Schlicht & Myla Fraim | Won (Straight Sets)
The #1 duo of Neophytou and Bishop set the tone early with aggressive net play, while the pairs of Gruber/Voss and Schlicht/Fraim slammed the door shut on any hopes of an Alma comeback with their efficient, error-free tennis.
Exhibition match winners were:
Bailey Taylor
Sophia Thornton
Giselle Coon & Kinzie Rezmer
The Bobcats now take their perfect record on the road to face their arch-rivals, the Garber High School Dukes.
With conference standings and town bragging rights on the line, the atmosphere is expected to be electric. If the Bobcats can maintain the level of play they showed tonight in Alma, the rest of the league should be on high alert.

"Lady Bobcats Battle to Gritty Tie
Against Flint Kearsley"
In a match defined by resilience and late-set heroics, the John Glenn Lady Bobcats tennis team traveled to Flint Kearsley High School on Monday to face off against a tough Hornets squad. After hours of intense play on the courts, the two teams finished in a 4-4 deadlock, proving just how evenly matched these competitors were.
The Bobcats relied on a balanced attack, picking up crucial wins in both the singles and doubles brackets to secure the draw.
Singles Standouts
The Lady Bobcats found success at the top and at the bottom of the lineup. Emma Dabrowski and Katie Gallagher both delivered commanding performances, staying composed under pressure to notch victories for John Glenn. Their ability to control the baseline and dictate the pace of their matches provided the early momentum the Bobcats needed on the road.
Dominance in Doubles
John Glennβs depth was on full display in the doubles matches. The pairings of Pearl Norton & Elina Selina and Adele Neophytou & Gabbie Bishop both walked off the courts with wins.
The Match of the Day honors undoubtedly went to Neophytou and Bishop. After finding themselves trailing early in the first set, the duo flipped a switch. They roared back to win four straight games, snatching the first set 7-5. With the momentum firmly on their side, they went into "shutdown mode" in the second set, dominating the Hornets 6-0 to complete the comeback.
Exhibition Excellence
Beyond the varsity scoring, the Lady Bobcats showed they have plenty of talent waiting in the wings. John Glenn swept several exhibition matches, gaining valuable experience and showing off the program's depth:
Singles: Ajae Morgan secured a hard-fought victory.
Doubles: The teams of Giselle Coon & Kinzie Rezmer and Brooke Mosher & Anna Gruber both came away with wins, ensuring a productive day for the entire traveling roster.

In a grueling test of both skill and stamina, the John Glenn High School Lady Bobcats tennis team proved today that they have the heart of champions. Competing in a high-stakes quad event in St. Johnβs, the Bobcats endured a marathon session of tennis, battling opponents and the elements for more than eight hours on the courts.
While many teams might have wilted under the pressure of such a long day, the Lady Bobcats stepped up when it mattered most, securing crucial victories across the board.
Singles Success
The singles flight saw a trio of Bobcats find their rhythm early. Emma Dabrowski, Maddie Schlicht, and Katie Gallagher all notched impressive match wins throughout the day. Their ability to maintain focus after hours of play was a testament to their conditioning and mental toughness.
Doubles Dominance

JGHS Girls Soccer Outmatches Garber in TVC Opener
The Lady Bobcats hosted Essexville-Garber on Thursday for TVC conference action, coming away with a solid 3-0 victory to remain undefeated in the young 2026 campaign.
The Bobcats controlled possession throughout the match. While they created several first-half chances, they couldn't quite find the back of the net before the break. That changed in the second half when sophomore Ayla Gunn broke the deadlock. After her initial hard shot was deflected by the keeper, Gunn showed great composure to settle the rebound and strike again, giving the Bobcats a 1-0 lead.
A few minutes later, sophomore Quinn Lang moved from Center Back to Striker to create matchup issuesβa move that paid off quickly. Lang took a beautiful assist from senior Isabella Snyder between two Garber defenders, giving her a clear run at the goal where she buried the opportunity to put Glenn up 2-0.
The Bobcats continued to press, keeping the ball locked in Garberβs half. The final goal came when freshman Brooklyn Hathaway made a defensive run that ended with a gorgeous weak-side through ball to sophomore Mya Johnson, who ripped the ball past the keeper to make it 3-0.
Glenn utilized a duo in goal to preserve the shutout. Senior Piper Cluckey recorded 4 saves, while freshman Ella Bailey added 2 saves to secure the clean sheet. The Bobcats have now registered three consecutive shutout victories to start the season.
Senior Grace Anderson was a defensive standout, gutting out all 80 minutes in heavy winds and leading the young Bobcat defense with timely tackles and smart play out of the back.

"Lady Bobcats Battle Winds and Indians to a Hard-Fought Draw"
The John Glenn Lady Bobcats officially kicked off their Varsity Tennis season today, hosting the Chesaning Indians in a season opener that tested more than just their backhands. Between a determined opponent and unrelenting high winds sweeping across the home courts, the afternoon was a true test of grit. When the dust settled, the Bobcats walked away with a respectable 4-4 tie to start the year.
Overcoming the Elements
Tennis is a game of precision, but todayβs match required pure adaptability. The high winds forced players to adjust their shot selection and footwork constantly. Despite the challenging conditions, the Lady Bobcats remained focused, showing the kind of resilience that suggests a promising season ahead.
Victory Column: Match Winners
While the overall score was deadlocked, several Bobcats secured their first individual victories of the new season.
Singles Standout
Freshman newcomer, Katie Gallagher put on a clinical performance in her singles match, navigating the gusts to secure a crucial point for John Glenn.
Doubles Dominance
The Bobcats showed immense strength in their pairings, claiming three of the four doubles matches:
Adele Neophytou & Gabbie Bishop
Elina Selina & Pearl Norton
Kaya Clickner & Evelyn Gruber
Each of these duos displayed excellent communication and chemistry, proving that the Bobcats' doubles lineup will be a force to be reckoned with this year.
Looking Ahead
It was a solid start for the Lady Bobcats, who proved they can hold their ground even when Mother Nature isn't cooperating. They won't have long to rest, however, as the team prepares to hit the road.
The Lady Bobcats travel south this coming Monday to take on Flint Kearsley. With the first-match jitters out of the way and several wins already under their belts, the team is looking to carry this momentum into their first away match.
Go Bobcats!
