As we start to wrap up the fall season we are fast approaching the winter season! Just a reminder that ALL of our student athletes must have a final forms account with a current sports physical form and all necessary signatures updated for this year. A current sports physical form needs to be dated on or after April 15th 2024 to be current for the 2024-2025 school year. Make sure you have selected the sport in which you plan to join or tryout for.

We had some interest from students for a spirit bus for the varsity soccer game tomorrow in Cedar Springs. We have secured chaperons. Now we just need high school students to sign up in order for us to be able to send a bus down there for the game. If you missed the email communication that was sent out I have included it here:
Hello everyone, We are looking at student interest in taking a Spirit bus to Cedar Rapids for the Boys Soccer Regional game on 10/22. If you would like to ride the Spirit bus to Cedar Rapids to support the John Glenn Boys Soccer team please sign up here. We need at least 35 students who are going in order to send the bus. You MUST have your tickets purchased through GOFAN ($9 per ticket) to get on the bus. You MUST have your permission slip completed to be able to ride the bus. It is a half day so you would have to make sure you can get back to the school by 3:30 to get on the bus. The bus will leave at 3:45 for a 6:30pm game. It should return around 10:30/11pm. John Glenn Students only please. We do have staff chaperones for the bus.

We recommend waiting to purchase tickets until we confirm enough students are signed up tp ride the spirit bus. We can not refund your ticket from GOFAN in the event the spirit bus does not get enough participation or if you change your mind.
Students will need to show us their ticket prior to loading the bus. They do not accept cash at the gate it is GOFAN ticketing only.

BOYS AND GIRLS YOUTH BASKETBALL INFORMATION
Hello everyone, we would like to announce our new partnership with Michigan Youth Basketball for our K-6 Youth Leagues. Our goal is to have any child who wants to play basketball be given the opportunity to do so. The league itself will run from January 11th-March 1st every Saturday at both John Glenn High School and Garber High School for Grades K-6. Your practice would be one hour before your game held at the same school's Middle School gym. There will be MHSAA officials for each game. Your players will be on a team with their school and grade partners. There is a Boys league and a Girls league. The program schedules these so there should be as little concern about same family game times being similar or conflicting. They are looking for volunteer coaches who are willing to help develop players first. Cost of the league is $145 per player but have multi family discounts as well as discounts based on family income. Financial aid is available through the athletic offices. This is a great opportunity to bring the best into our community and get the best out of our kids. More information on the flyers provided
