On Saturday the Tri Valley Thunder volunteered at the sleep in heavenly peace foundation in Saginaw. This organization builds and delivers beds to children in the Saginaw area that do not have beds to sleep on.
The players and coaches participated in the sanding and assembling of the bed frames. In total the players completed 49 beds that will be distributed to children throughout the Saginaw area. Below is the link to an interview two of the players did with WNEM at the event.

We have a new coach introduction for our CMMS girls swim team!
Meet Coach Heather Langholz
I’m excited to introduce myself as your new coach! My name is Heather Langholz , and I bring over ten seasons of soccer coaching experience, along with a deep passion for helping players grow both in athletics and in class.
A little about me: I am a proud mother of an 18-year-old senior who is a varsity soccer player, a national honor roll student, and an active member of Student Council. He’s also in the marching band as the section lead for his instrument group. Watching him juggle his commitments with dedication has only strengthened my appreciation for student-athletes like all of you.
I’ve also worked at CMMS for two years and truly love the opportunity to connect with and support such amazing students every day. My goal as your coach is to build a team culture rooted in hard work, positivity, and growth. I can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish together this season!
Feel free to reach out with any questions, goals, or ideas—I’m here for you. Let’s make it a great season!
Welcome coach we are happy to have you aboard!

All three of our boys basketball teams came away with big wins last night vs Gladwin! Here is a nice write up by Lee Thompson on our varsity match up!
BOYS BKB: JOHN GLENN 73, GLADWIN 49
John Glenn wanted to put Gladwin in the unfamiliar position of playing from behind.
The Bobcats succeeded in a big way.
Glenn came roaring out of the chute, exploding for an 18-point first-quarter advantage en route to a convincing 73-49 victory over previously undefeated Gladwin.
“I’m very pleased with the way we came out of the gate against a good team,” Glenn coach Dale Clyde said after his 199th career victory with the Bobcats. “It was a point of emphasis how we wanted to play the first quarter, and we did it really well.”
Glenn (8-2) led 27-9 after the opening quarter and never looked back, highlighted by an 18-point performance from Danzell Calhoun and double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds from Hayden Ruff. Oliver Masters added 13 points and 11 rebounds, Dylan Wood scored 11 points and Meech Ward pulled down eight boards in the non-league win.
Gladwin (6-1) was paced by Brody Verellen with 17 points and Seth Mead with 13.
“It’s a humbling moment, but I think it may have refocused our guys to get back on track and start a new streak,” Gladwin coach Mike Verellen said.

PRESTON PUDVAN, TRI-VALLEY THUNDER
The first-year Tri-Valley Thunder hockey program has a go-to scorer in Pudvan. The senior from John Glenn has been on a tear with a seven-game point streak, tallying eight goals and three assists over that stretch. “He’s an alternate captain with excellent hockey and leadership skills,” coach Paul Engelberts said. A volunteer youth hockey coach, Pudvan lettered the past three years with the Bay Area Thunder.
RUBEN RIVERA, JOHN GLENN
Rivera etched his name in history by winning his fourth Bay County Wrestling Championship crown while helping the Bobcats to the team title. Rivera rolled to a 4-0 record at 113 pounds to become just the 12th wrestler to become a four-time champion. “First and foremost, Ruben is a leader,” coach Matt Bishop said. “He does the right things in practice. He’s pushing the pace. When he’s drilling with the younger guys, he’s making them better. He’s a positive force in our room.” Rivera is a three-time state qualifier for the Bobcats.
Congratulations to both of the nominees! Way to go BOBCATS 🐾
