Today we are launching a district-wide Communications Survey and we’re asking all families to participate!

The survey will be open from from February 18–27 and takes just 3–7 minutes to complete. The survey results will help us better understand how we’re doing and how we can effectively communicate with you moving forward.

The survey link has been sent directly to families through Skyward. You can also find the link on the homepage of our website.

Start collecting those coins! Our Coin Wars event will be kicking off on March 2nd and will run until March 13th. Check out the flyer for details and how each coin will count and how to sabotage other classes. Looking forward to a great fundraiser for Bangor Central PTO and our students.

As we enjoy some warmer temperatures, we are having snow melt which is leading to a very muddy playground. As careful as we try to get our students to be, there is the potential to get muddy. As we transition into spring and continue to get melting and then spring showers, it may be helpful if students bring a change of clothes just as a precaution. Thank you!

We are going to enjoy the sunshine and warmer temps and come out through the playground gate for dismissal today. See you soon!

Happy Spring Count Day! Stay cozy in your PJs at school today. Remember playground shoes, warm coats, and snow gear for being outside at recess. We will see you soon at the gym door!

You are receiving this communication because we held a lockdown drill today. Please know this drill was completely precautionary and an opportunity to practice keeping our students safe in the event of an emergency. The State of Michigan mandates that we hold three lockdown drills each school year. These drills provide us with useful information in how we design our School Safety Plans. We regularly review our procedures to help ensure we are providing the safest building we can for our students and staff. If you have any questions about drills or school safety, please feel free to contact me.

Dear parents,
In the event of school being cancelled on Friday, the Mother and Son Night of Fun Jersey Jam WILL still take place. Please use the athletic entrance at John Glenn High School. We are excited to see you there!

We will use the gym door for drop off and pick-up all week. Please remain in your warm vehicles until the door opens at 8:00. We will not be going outside today due to the low temperatures, you are welcome to keep snow gear at home. Drive safely and we will see you soon.

Please allow extra space and time as you enter the parking lot. It is a bit slick as you come into the parking lot at the stop sign. We are working to salt, but please be extra cautious.

Happy Friday Central families. We are excited to see our students dressed as their future career selves today. We will greet our future doctors, chefs, law enforcement, veterinarians, athletes, and all the other amazing careers at the gym door this morning. Please plan to use the gym door for dismissal today, as well. Have a great day!
