CMMS Parents:
We have had a few questions recently about the Chromebooks that students were issued at the beginning of this school year. Students will be allowed to keep their Chromebooks over the summer and continue to use the same one next school year. For any student that is not returning to Bangor Township Schools next year we ask that you please return your Chromebook to the main office no later than the last day of school (Thursday, June 10th).

CMMS Parents,
If your CMMS student was issued an award during today’s assemblies, but they were not present to receive their award, these certificates can be picked up in the main office until Friday, June 11th at noon. After that date and time the remaining certificates will be tri-folded and sent out in the mail with report cards.

CMMS Parents:

CMMS Parents and Students: I am very excited to announce that Mr. Jeff Albrecht will be the new assistant principal at Christa McAuliffe next school year. Mr. Albrecht has been the director of the Bangor Township Virtual School for the past five years. Prior to that, he was a math teacher here at CMMS. We are fortunate to have him back with us serving our families, students and staff. Please help me in welcoming him to our team.

All library and math books are due at CMMS on Tuesday June 1. If you are not in school in person please return the books to the box in the lobby. Thank you!

CMMS Parents and Guardians,
With everything that our students have missed out on this year we wanted to make sure that we recognized the hard work that many students have put in to this challenging school year. In recognition of these individual efforts we will be conducting award ceremonies for each grade level on Monday, June 7th. Even with the recent loosening of the COVID restrictions, only students will be able to attend these award ceremonies. We will be hosting the event at the John Glenn auditorium and there will not be enough room for students that are receiving awards to have guests present. However, we will be live streaming and recording the ceremonies for parents to watch live or at a later time. A link to the live stream for the event will be posted as we get closer to the event date.
The grade level assemblies will be taking place at the following times on June 7th:
7th Grade – 8:30 am
6th Grade – 10:45 am
8th Grade – 12:30 pm

Celebration of Talents
As part of our Honors program here at CMMS our students participate in a social studies competition. Our 8th-grade US History students submitted their projects to the MCSS Social Studies Olympiad. The MCSS released the results yesterday and a number of our students have medaled. This would not have been possible without the hard work of our teachers and support staff in our district, the parents, and of course the students themselves. Congratulations to all of our students who competed.
