988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (now known as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), and is now active across the United States.
When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.

"Meet Up and Eat Up" will be offered again this summer! Free meals will be served Monday through Thursday at Bangor Central Elementary. Children may come from 8:00-8:30am for breakfast and also 11:30am-12:00pm for lunch!
The program is available to children 18 years of age and under, or persons up to age 26 who are enrolled in an educational program for the mentally or physically disabled that is recognized by a State or local public educational agency.
