Spring sports are just around the corner please make sure to create a Final Forms account if your child plans to participate in any sports offered at the high school or middle school. You will only need to create an account once! You will need to update it yearly with a new MHSAA sports physical and stay up on signatures as they are needed. Girls Soccer Tryouts (JV and Varsity) Monday March 11 4-6:30 Wednesday March 13 5-7 Boys and girls Track and Field: Monday, March 11 2:30-4:00 first day of practice no tryouts Softball Varsity for all junior and senior athletes 3/11 and 3/12 4-530pm in John Glenn gymnasium JV same date and location time is 530-7pm for all freshman and sophomore athletes Varsity Baseball M-F 6:00am-7:00am JGHS Gym 2:45-4:30 Barn Junior Varsity M-f 6:30-8:30 Barn (2 mile road) Tennis tryouts will be held Monday March 11th and Tuesday Match 12th from 2:30 to 4:00 on the tennis courts. Boys Varsity and JV golf will begin on March 11 in room (E8) from 2:30 - 4:00. All golfers should have their physicals taken care of by then as well. No equipment will be needed on day 1. Lacrosse first day of practice Monday March 11th 3:30- 530 Turf field.

LOGAN DEMAREST, JOHN GLENN It was a mission-accomplished moment for the senior in his final match with the John Glenn wrestling team. DeMarest gave Glenn its first state champion in 29 years, winning top honors at 215 pounds in Division 2. “He’s a guy who does all the right things,” coach Matt Bishop said. “He stays after practice for extra work, he goes to the gym and gets his lifts in… He’s really special in that way. It’s been his goal since he first set foot in John Glenn to be a state champion.” DeMarest went 44-1 on the year. District 38 Boys Basketball finished up on Friday by crowning Arthur Hill district champions 🏆 It was a wild week with not an empty seat in the house and tons of excitement! Your JG Varsity boys knocked out Carrollton in the first round and fell short to the Freeland Falcons in the semi-finals. Arthur Hill knocked out Garber in the semi-finals to advance to the championship game vs Freeland. Our gym was packed every single one of these games and we could not be more proud of our team, our volunteers, and our staff! It has been an incredible week! There have been a lot of hands at work and MANY thanks to go around for helping make it a success! BIG SHOUT OUT TO THE JG BOOSTER CLUB! The concession stand was rocking!! They took care of our guests well! We can't THANK YOU enough for all that you do! Next week we host District games for girls basketball!!!

Congratulations to the Boys Swimming & Diving team for winning the 2024 ISC Swimming & Diving Conference Championships at SVSU on Saturday. They ended their regular season going undefeated in their dual meet competitions and will now move on to diving regionals and the state championships.

We have another state qualifier! Nathan Gwizdala is regional runner up and headed to STATES!! Congratulations and great job Nathan!
