Your Bobcat Boys Varsity Tennis team traveled to Alma High School today and defeated the Panthers by a match score of 6 wins to 2 losses. The highlight of the match was a 2 1/2 hour marathon match where David Ferrio and Jack Pfifer came from behind to win their #1 Singles match in 3 sets. Winning on the day were: Singles Owen LaCourt Lance Neigh Doubles Jack Pfifer/David Ferrio Colin Meyers/Patrick Dwan Will Gallagher/Nick Naylor Corbin Sanborn/Dylan Werner The Bobcats now travel to Midland this Saturday to play against Midland High, Heritage, and Clio. Congratulations are being sent out to our Equestrian Team. They participated in the MIHA Districts this past weekend. They received Reserved Champion (2nd place in their Division) and will be moving on to Regionals which will be held September 27-29 at The Midland County Fairgrounds. Every single Bobcat boy that stepped on the tennis courts walked away with a win tonight! John Glenn Boys Varsity and JV teams were running on all cylinders tonight on the home courts, taking down the Wolves of Bay City Central with a combined match score of 14 wins to 3 losses in a Varsity/JV scrimmage Coach Miller was quoted tonight " We have a strong respectful rivalry with the Wolves after tying them for the County Cup last year. Tonight was a strong sign for the Bobcats that in October we are coming back to take the cup back on our own. I was so proud of this group of tennis players, they played strong tonight and showed a lot of Bobcat Pride!" JOHN GLENN JV Boys Tennis Team! Yes, for the 1st time John Glenn has a Boys JV Tennis Team. These young men had their 1st match thus past Wednesday against a strong Saginaw Heritage team. The Bobcat Boys held their own durung this premier tennis match and in the end came up with a 5 match to 5 match draw against the Hawks. Coach Miller was quoted "I am so proud of each and every one of these young men. We are now carrying 22 boys, the largest team I have ever had, some of these young men have never picked up a tennis racket and we hold Saginaw Heritage to a draw! That is actually a "Victory" in my eyes." Winning on the day were: Singles Matches: Corbin Sanborn Remy Tacey Xander Casault Brody McAuley Morse Xander Casault and Remy Tacey also came away with a Doubles win on the evening.Β  The future looks good for John Glenn Boys Tennis!

Hello everyone! HEAT update, it's predicted to be very hot today for our events. The soccer games have been moved to the grass field and are still a 5pm start time for Varsity. The Bay County Volleyball Tournament has been moved from Bay City Central to here at John Glenn. Bay City Central is still the host school and will run the Gate as they normally would cash only for the Bay County Volleyball Tournament Event but all games will be played at John Glenn starting at 4pm. The John Glenn Boys Tennis team played in the Annual "Jim Teal" tournament at Saginaw Heritage this past Friday. This was the boys first time in the tourney and they showed up strong! Every John Glenn player won at least one match on the day, with the #1 Doubles team of David Ferrio and Jack Pfifer making it all the way to the "Championship Round"! John Glenn placed ahead of Bay City Western, Midland High, and Hemlock! Winning on the day were: Singles Players: Thomas Dwan J.T.
