In honor of Veteran’s Day tomorrow, and to honor those who served, we are encouraging our Central Bobcats to wear red, white, and blue on Monday, November 11th. With deepest gratitude to those who have served and are currently serving our country, and to their families who support them. We honor you!

We are keeping an eye on the weather. Our costume parade is going to start at 8:45, if it is not raining we will parade outside and parents are welcome to watch from the parking lot. If it is raining, we will parade inside the school and parents will not be able to join us inside. Pictures will be taken and posted for parents to see. Thank you for your understanding of our need to keep our students safe.
After Halloween, our PTO gets into gear preparing for our Santa Shop. For this event to be successful, we rely on donations. Please see the flyer which will provide more information and dates. Thank you in advance for your support of this event!

Good morning, due to the continued drizzle, we will use the gym entrance door on the parking lot side for drop off today. If the rain is done at dismissal time we will return to the rolling gate.
Also, today is the last day to vote in our rivalry fundraiser. $1 per ticket and vote for who will win the UofM vs. MI State game. Winning ticket will be pulled on Monday.

This week we will be holding our annual rivalry fundraiser. This year's rivalry is between Michigan State and University of Michigan. Students can start purchasing their voting tickets from their teachers on Monday and can continue to vote all week long. Please see the attached flyer for more information!

We have a busy week ahead, and I wanted to send out some reminders.
On Tuesday, October 22nd we have a half day. Students are dismissed at 11:15.
On Thursday, October 24th we have picture retake and make-up day. If you need retakes done for your students please send a note or reach out to your child’s teacher to let them know to send them for retakes. If you purchased pictures and want retakes done, please send your student with the pictures that you received. Any new students will be sent to have their picture taken.
Also on Thursday the 24th we have our fall Math Spooktacular. Please see the attached flyer for information. We hope to see you there!

You are receiving this communication because we held a lockdown drill today. Please know this drill was completely precautionary and an opportunity to practice keeping our students safe in the event of an emergency. The State of Michigan mandates that we hold three lockdown drills each school year. These drills provide us with useful information in how we design our School Safety Plans. We regularly review our procedures to help ensure we are providing the safest building we can for our students and staff. If you have any questions about drills or school safety, please feel free to contact me.
We are looking for community members to help with our Trunk-or-Treat event on October 24th. Please consider volunteering to pass out goodies to our Central Bobcats after they complete their fun math activities.
