We’re proud to share that a John Glenn High School team has advanced to Phase Two of the A.H. Nickless Innovation Award competition! 🎉
Our students will now receive a $1,000 grant to continue researching and developing their innovative STEM project alongside teams from across the region. The competition will conclude this spring at SVSU, where teams have the chance to earn scholarships and STEM grants for their schools.

We’re excited to offer PeerUp, a new course at John Glenn High School that builds on the success of our Peer-to-Peer program at Christa McAuliffe Middle School. Through PeerUp, students have the opportunity to form meaningful connections, promote inclusion, and support classmates with diverse abilities - all while developing empathy, leadership, and communication skills.
To share what this experience is all about, we talked with Chloe R., an 8th grader who’s been part of the middle school program for two years:
“I started Peer to Peer in 7th grade, and I love helping people as much as possible. It brings me joy to make those connections and to help others be the best version of themselves.”
